Use & Care
Proper Use & CAre of Your Rogue Bugout Knife:
- Keep your knife dry and lubricated to prevent rust. If spotting or rust occurs, semi-chrome metal polish will often take care of it.
- DO NOT use a dishwasher to clean your knife, as this can cause serious damage not covered under warranty. Handwashing with warm water and dish soap is recommended. Afterward the knife should be dried thoroughly.
- A knife is intended for cutting and shouldn’t be used in place of another tool (pry-bar, screwdriver, chisel, punch, etc.) unless specifically designed to do so.
- If you choose to sharpen your blade yourself, avoid grinding wheels and other high-powered machinery.
- Handle, pivot, and pocket clip screws may require occasional adjustment using T6 & T10 Torx drivers. Benchmade recommends applying a small dab of releasable thread-locker as needed.
