Hampton Morris

Hampton Morris is a young American weightlifter making a name for himself on the international stage. Born in 2004, the 20-year-old from Marietta, Georgia has already achieved remarkable things in his weightlifting career.

Morris competes in the men's 61 kg weight class and is a three-time gold medalist at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships (2021, 2022, and 2023), showcasing his dominance in the region.

In April 2024, Morris etched his name in weightlifting history by shattering the clean and jerk world record in the 61 kg class at the IWF World Cup in Thailand, lifting a staggering 176 KGS (388 LBS). This feat not only made him the current world record holder, but also the first American man to break a senior weightlifting world record since 1969.

Morris's record-breaking performance secured him a spot on the US Olympic weightlifting team where he will become the youngest American male weightlifter at the Olympics since 2000.
